Mozy blog: Should your next laptop have a solid state hard drive?

Maybe. Prices have come down, although the SSDs are still more than regular rotating drives. Last month Apple announced new MacBooks with SSD options: previously, they were only available in the MacBook Air models, as you can see from the screenshot from their online store. You’ll pay at least $200 more. Dell and other PC makers also offer them as options now.
