Network access control (NAC) is growing up. Having overcome the hype and stumbles of its early years, the technology has entered adolescence. Industry analysts say companies were initially slow to implement NAC but now many are embarking on NAC projects. But the teen years can be awkward and NAC is figuring out its purpose, learning from past mistakes, and trying to grow into a full-fledged security solution. In this story for Information Security magazine, we took a closer look at four implementations around the country to see how the technology is faring in the enterprise.
