		<description>I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of comments, sympathy, and remarks since this essay appeared a little over an hour ago. Here is one worth noting from a PR contact who claims to be a NWC reader since the mid 90s:

I swear that one particularly good product review in NWC, followed quickly by an Interop/NWC award, for one of my clients, added $100M to their valuation just before Cisco acquired them.</description>
